Cheers to 50 Years!

We have experienced and shared much. Births and deaths. Family reunions and hospital stays. Play dates and parenting moments. Marriage and divorce. Corporate rebrandings. Impromptu dinners in foreign cities. Promotions and layoffs. Joy and heartbreak. Coffees, teas and jives. Great wines and garage wines. Life-threatening illnesses. Transatlantic moves. Impossible decisions. And so much more.

This celebration is dedicated to our milestones, and to all of the people, places, and learning that have brought us to today. Come celebrate with us over a weekend that we hope will only have “bests”: best of Chicago, best stories, music, and more!

I look forward not only to toasting my 50th, but my sister Mary’s 40th, and other milestones…75, 45, 50, 70, 35…you know who you are!

Our grandfather, Lee Laz, taught us to “Ac-Cent-Tchu-Ate the Positive,” as Aretha Franklin sings. Here’s to celebrating the pendulums of experience, and the backstories that have made us the vibrant, courageous, funny, wise and talented people we are today.
